Preparing for Easter

Matt and Ethan went for an overnight turkey hunt on Good Friday, so the twins and I had fun coloring eggs, making crafts, and having treats! It was really fun this year as they are old enough to take part in egg coloring and learning about the story of Easter! Evie asked for Egg "paint" so thankfully I was able to find some at Target, and we painted!

We also got some dinosaur egg decorations from Auntie Pam, which Matthew loved!

Then they each made an Easter craft. . . .

Matthew made a bunny, and . . .

and Evie made. . . .

a baby chick!

We ended the day with root beer and orange floats, and hit the hay so we were rested up for the Easter Egg Hunt Saturday morning!

And. . .it rained, so we hunted for eggs all throughout the inside of our church. We dressed for outside, and Matthew insisted on wearing his winter coat and sun glasses pretty much the whole time, while Evie sported her rain boots!

But . . . they both found their share of eggs.

And, we did some crafts at church after the egg hunt. . .we made sand crosses, easter lilies, did a jelly bean coloring activity, and watched a movie about the Easter.

Matthew insisted on getting his face painted, which was just too cute!

We had a great day, and it was a wonderful way to get ready for Easter Sunday!
